The Slingsby Golf Academy

Our latest work for Slingsby Gin led us to the fine fairways of Wentworth, in support of their sponsorship of the BMW PGA Championship.

To encourage more women to take up the sport, we helped Slingsby launch its very own golf academy, enlisting Fleur East, Helen Skelton, Natalie Pinkman and Bella Shah as inaugural cadets.

Each celebrity paired with a pro golfer to help take them from novice to competitor, with the aim of qualifying for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am.

The media has loved the story and as we hit more than half and million people with the announcement though landing swathes of coverage across the Yorkshire (Slingsby’s home turf) media and key lifestyle titles, with highlights including Yorkshire Post, Daily Express (three times, nonetheless), Yahoo Sport, Evening Standard, Marie Claire, Health & Wellbeing, Female First, Golf Monthly and Women & Golf.

The magnificent Helen Skelton triumphed and just last week, competed alongside the pros in the competition. Duly, we swung into work setting up interviews and pushing the news, securing hits in the Daily Mail, Metro, Express Online and Hello!, rounding off a cracking project to be part of.
