Moonpig asked us to support the launch of a new range of perfumes and we duly came up with this little stink bomb.
As the nation braced itself for another crazy instalment of Tiger King on 17th November, we found that studies have shown that tigers respond well to new scents, and perfume has even been used as part of big cat enrichment programmes.
There was only one thing for it.
We created a cheeky new scent that wouldn’t look out of place in Joe Exotic’s bathroom.
Eccentrica by Moonpig features notes of heavy musk and a whiff of bitterness, all locked up with a mad mix of bergamot, sandalwood, and lime, finished with a hint of regret.
The media loved it, with pieces landing in the Daily Star, Daily Star Online, Daily Mirror, Mirror Online, Daily Record, MSN, Bauer Radio network (11 stations) and On In London, as well as heaps of other lifestyle sites.
Given there are more tigers in captivity in the USA than there are in the wild across the world (shocking, right?), we also arranged for 100% of sales of Eccentrica to be given to Born Free, a leading wildlife charity that runs tiger conservation programmes.
